Disciple 1 Bible Study

I am very excited to tell you that The Sergeantsville United Methodist Church will be offering a Disciple I Bible Study this coming school year. The class will start on Sept. 10 at 7:00 PM at the Sergeantsville parsonage. Rev. Dr. Sue Moore and Rev. Lin Smallwood will be facilitating the class, which will be held each Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:30. The course consists of 34 weeks of individual and group Bible reading, video lessons and small group activities.

Have you always wanted to read the Bible and become Bible literate? Throughout the year you will have a chance to read 80% of the Bible as you do your weekly assignments. You will study what Discipleship means from a Biblical point of view. You may be able to run the Bible category in Jeopardy through the knowledge that you will gain!

The Disciple Bible Study is a commitment which will bring you benefits beyond your current imagination. You will interact with other seeking Disciples and get to know them in a special way as you build community. This class is also open to others in neighboring churches in the Raritan Valley District.

The cost of the student book is $33.00 payable on the first night. That is less than a dollar a week as the course is 34 weeks long. We already have a core group of committed persons who have said that they would take this important step in their spiritual development. Would you prayerfully consider this experience and let Pastor Smallwood or Terri Popiel know (at 609-397-2333) know as soon as possible so that we can order the Study Books? Your instructors would like to have a class of at least 12 persons. We will limit the class to 18 or 20.
